1. Get started in 2 minutes
- Install feedBridge from the Shopify App Store and open it from Apps in your Shopify admin.
- Click Create feed.
- Choose what the feed is for: Google Merchant Center, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Microsoft Advertising, Pinterest, TikTok, ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Custom CSV.
- Keep the default settings or adjust them, then click Create feed and run the first check.
- In about a minute you get the feed URL and a check report. Copy the URL into your ad platform.
2. Add the feed to Google Merchant Center
- Open Google Merchant Center → Products (or Data sources) → Add product source.
- Choose Add products from a file → Enter a link to your file.
- Paste your feedBridge feed URL and choose a daily fetch time.
- Save. Google fetches the feed and shows the products within a few hours.
Menu names in Google can change slightly; look for "file" or "scheduled fetch".
3. Add the feed to Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
- Open Meta Commerce Manager → your catalog → Data sources.
- Choose Data feed → Scheduled feed.
- Paste the URL of a feed made with the Meta template and set the schedule (daily or hourly).
- Save and wait for the first upload.
4. Microsoft, Pinterest, TikTok and ChatGPT
- Microsoft Advertising (Bing) — Merchant Center → Catalogs → Feeds → Create feed → scheduled download, paste the feed URL. You can also import your Google Merchant Center directly.
- Pinterest — Business hub → Catalogs → Add data source, paste the URL, choose daily ingestion.
- TikTok — TikTok Shop / Catalog Manager → Products → Add products → Data feed → scheduled feed (CSV), paste the URL.
- ChatGPT (OpenAI) — the feed follows the OpenAI product feed format (TSV) for ChatGPT shopping search. Submit its URL when OpenAI approves your merchant application.
Starter adds Microsoft, Pinterest and TikTok; Pro adds ChatGPT and custom CSV/TSV.
5. Choose which products go into a feed
In Which products you can add conditions:
- Collection, product type, brand, tag — include or exclude them.
- Stock — only in stock, only out of stock, or at least N in stock.
- Price — at least or at most a value; On sale — only discounted products.
- Title or SKU contains a word; Option equals a value (for example, Color = Black).
Choose whether products must match all conditions or any of them. Products that do not match are counted as "excluded by conditions" — this is intentional, not an error.
By default, out-of-stock products are not sent, which saves ad budget. Turn on Include out-of-stock products to send them as "out of stock".
6. Fields from metafields, custom labels and rules
In Extra fields you decide where each Google field comes from: a product or variant metafield or a fixed value. Supported: brand, GTIN, MPN, Google product category, gender, age group, color, size, material, pattern, size system and custom labels 0–4 (Starter and up).
Values like "Homme", "Damen" or "Kids" are converted to what Google accepts ("male", "female", "kids"); values Google would reject are reported, not sent. For apparel (Shopify category "Apparel & Accessories") the report warns when gender, age group, color or size are missing.
Rules (Pro and up) set a field when a condition matches, for example "tag is sale → custom_label_0 = promo" — handy for splitting Performance Max campaigns by margin, season or promotion. Rules run in order; a later rule wins.
7. Feeds for Shopify Markets
On Pro and Business, choose a Market in the feed settings: the feed uses that country's prices and currency from Shopify Markets and, if you enter it, the market's storefront address (for example https://example.com/fr-be). Create one feed per country you advertise in. Products without a price in that market are left out with a clear reason.
8. Custom CSV feeds
For spreadsheets, marketplaces, partners or price monitoring tools:
- Choose the Custom CSV template (Pro and up).
- For each column, pick the data (price, SKU, barcode, link, options…) and, if needed, rename the column name in the file. Names are filled in automatically.
- Reorder columns with the arrows, add or remove columns.
- Choose the delimiter: comma, semicolon (Excel in Europe) or tab.
9. Read the check report
- In feed — products sent to the platform.
- Left out — products the platform would reject (missing image, zero price, not published…). Each reason says how to fix it.
- Warnings — products that were sent but are worth a look (invalid barcode removed, no brand, description taken from the title…).
- Products with issues — click a product name to open it in Shopify. The next update picks up your fix.
10. Update frequency
- Interval — from every 15 minutes (Business) to once a day at a chosen hour in your store's time zone.
- At fixed times — up to 6 hours a day, for example 6, 12 and 18, so the feed is fresh right before your ad platform fetches it.
- Update after product changes (Starter and up) — when you edit, add or delete a product, the feed rebuilds about 3 minutes later (several edits in a row become one update), never more often than your plan's interval.
Click Update now at any time to rebuild the feed with the latest data.
11. Plans
- Free — 1 feed, up to 1,000 products, daily updates, Google and Meta.
- Starter ($9/month) — 3 feeds, 2,500 products, hourly and after product changes, + Microsoft, Pinterest, TikTok, fields from metafields.
- Pro ($19/month) — 10 feeds, 10,000 products, every 30 minutes, + ChatGPT, custom CSV/TSV, rules and custom labels, market feeds.
- Business ($39/month) — unlimited feeds (fair use), 100,000 products, every 15 minutes.
Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial; yearly billing gives two months free. If you move to a smaller plan, feeds that do not fit are paused, not deleted — upgrade again and they work as before.
12. Language
feedBridge is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. It follows your browser language automatically; you can change it in Settings → Interface language.
13. FAQ
Why does the report say "store is password-protected"?
Your online store still has a password. Google cannot open product pages until you remove it in Online Store → Preferences.
Why are products without a description left out?
Google and Meta require a description. Add one, or turn on "Use the product title when the description is empty".
Does feedBridge change my products?
No. It only has read access to your catalog.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Your feeds stop, their links stop working, and your data is deleted.
